Are You a Satanist?
Satanism is the worship of Satan and was founded by Anton LaVey in San Francisco in 1966. Below are the rules they live by. Going by these rules, are we who profess to be Christians that much different from the Satanists? ( I know some of you celebrate Halloween.)
- They totally reject Christianity and the Christian doctrine.
- They reject the Bible.
- They are man-centered, not God-centered.
- They believe Christians invented God as an externalized form of their own ego.
- Jesus is deemed either as mystical or as a failure.
- Satanists believe man is his own god and in opposition to all religions.
- They believe man should be void of all moral codes and free to live any way he pleases.
- They believe that the concept of sin is used to make people feel guilty so they can be controlled by religion.
- They believe there is no need for salvation.
- They believe there is no life beyond death.
- They believe life is to be lived now, vitally and pleasurably.
- They believe man should indulge or do whatever he wants and not abstain.
- They believe in being kind only to the deserving. Do unto others what they do unto you.
- They believe in taking vengeance instead of turning the other cheek.
- They look down on anyone who wants to do good.
- They hold ceremonies known as Black Mass.
- Their rituals are a blend of Gnostic, Cabbalistic, Hermetic, and Masonic elements.
