Envy Not The Wicked
Psalms 37:1-3, “Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the LORD, and do good...”
There are two famous chapters in the Bible book of Psalms which encourage Christian believers not to become discouraged by the prosperity of the wicked. These chapters are Psalms 37 and 73. They are easy to remember because you can turn the numbers around and they're the opposite of each other. It is frustrating to a born-again Christian who's trying to live for the Lord to constantly be surrounded by a wicked society of heathens that just don't care. They don't care about truth. They don't care about morality. They don't care about ethics (doing the right thing). They don't care about others (beyond what they do to feel good about themselves, or to be seen for the praise of man). The sinful world doesn't truly care.
Please read the following awesome Scripture passage from Psalm 37, which proclaims God's promise to every Christian that things can only end in everlasting damnation for the wicked, but eternal life and blessing for the righteous...Psalms 37:1-13, “Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.”What beautiful and precious truths! The Bible tells us to wait upon the Lord, committing our way unto Him, resting in Jesus to make everything right in God's good time. The Bible tells us not to get frustrated while we wait and the wicked are prospering. In 2013 in Kenya the wicked are prospering. They have control of our nation and our government. Sodomites have infiltrated everything and are all over society. Without debate the most sinister forces to ever come against Kenya is the news-media, the banking cartel, booze, feminism, abortion, and politics. The wicked are all living on borrowed time from God...Psalms 37:1-13, “Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass... The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.”Did you read that... THE LORD SHALL LAUGH AT HIM: FOR HE SEETH HIS DAY COMING. Oh! I wouldn't want to be in the shoes of the wicked for any reason. We are all mere skeletons covered with flesh, having the spirit which God gave to us the moment we were conceived. That spirit will return to God when we die and our flesh can no longer house the soul (Ecclesiastes 12:7). Then the judgment (Hebrews 9:27). Hebrews 10:31 says it is a FEARFUL thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Man's arrogance will come to an end. There are many evil people in this world, which the Bible warns God will punish (Isaiah 13:11).
Repeatedly we are warned in the Bible that God HATES the sin of pride, a proud look and arrogance. Proverbs 8:13, “The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.” So we see that not hating evil is pride. Most Kenyans are extremely proud. Not hating abortion is sinful pride, because God said not to kill (Exodus 20:13). Anything that goes against the Word of God is wicked pride and arrogance. The Kenyan political system is extremely arrogant, flaunting its power over God's Commandments. God hates a gossiping, slandering, tale-bearing, cursing, lying mouth (Proverbs 6:16-19). I am so glad that God is a righteous God and hates evil. What a horror it would be if the God of the universe were corrupt, selfish and biased unfairly as are earthly humans. God gave up His only begotten Son for us, which is the ultimate expression of love (1st John 3:16).
When I am tempted to envy the wicked who seem to be enjoying life so much, I am quickly reminded of Psalms 37:1-13, where God says their day of reckoning is coming!!! It may seem like a lot of fun to some people to go around the country, having millions of people chanting your name and eating at the Devil's table. Ah! But all Satan's apples have worms!
The Bible teaches that even if wicked men live to be 100 years old, it won't go well for them on judgment day in eternity. Ecclesiastes 8:12, “Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him.”
The hundreds-of-millions of adulterous men are in trouble with the Lord. Hebrews 13:4, “Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.” I don't condemn anyone, for we are all sinners in God's eyes (Romans 3:23; James 2:10). Thank God for the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ that washes our sins away (1st Peter 1:18-19). God wants to pardon man's sins (2nd Peter 3:9), but man loves his sins and; therefore, won't come to the light as John 3:20 and John 1:4-5 teach. Sin hinders men from coming to the Lord. John 3:20, “For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.” People who love their sins run from the Lord. Some people pervert the gospel in an attempt to force sinners to cease from their sinful bad habits to be saved; but that's not possible nor necessary in view of John 3:20, because the Bible says sin keeps men from coming to the light.
The wicked world lives for power, wine, women and song. The Bible teaches that the PLEASURES of sin are only temporary, but they are PLEASURES (Hebrews 11:25). Sin is fun, which is why people do it; but the consequences are God's judgment (Hebrews 9:27). Many politicians and wealthy people live in gross immorality, corrupting their way to the top. It may seem like they got away with it, but Hebrews 13:4 says God will judge. If you are envious of the wicked as a Christian, consider the end of the wicked. They're not glorifying God with their lives. They're not helping anybody find the way to Heaven. They're unsaved and hellbound in their sins. Consider again the powerful statement from the Bible... Ecclesiastes 8:12, “Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him.” I fear God and I hope you do too.
It can be frustrating for believers who are genuinely serving the Lord to see wicked people having a good time, partying, and enjoying the best that life has to offer. The wicked are totally consumed with themselves. Yet, we rejoice as the Lord told us in John 16:33, knowing that we are in Christ and not of this wicked world. I love 1st John 5:20...

1st John 5:19-21, “And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. And we know that the Son of God is come,and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.”Isn't that beautiful, the Lord has GIVEN US AN UNDERSTANDING, THAT WE MAY KNOW HIM THAT IS TRUE!!! The heathen world does NOT know Jesus, and their minds and hearts are in darkness. They saw the light but the Bible says in John 1:5 that THEY COMPREHENDED IT NOT. John 1:4-5, “In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” If you don't believe that Jesus miraculously arose from the dead, then you are NOT saved (Romans 10:9-10).
